Athena Capelet - Leather Shoulder Armor Shrug

Description

Inspired by the curvature of leaves and intended to make the wearer feel empowered. This is a leather, two tier, shoulder capelet with a metal jewelry tube at the neckline. The sculptural layers are curved, wrapping around the shoulders in the likeness of armor. Top stitching lines every leather seam for added texture and shape.

Materials

30% Recycled Leather, 50% Organic Cotton Twill, 20% Recycled Polyester Interfacing

Outer fabric is Recycled Leather. Lining is Organic Cotton Twill.  

Inner structure is Organic Cotton Twill and Recycled Polyester Interfacing.

Recycled leather saves discarded leather waste from going into landfills by reconstituting it and also decreases the amount of new leather being made. 

Organic cotton is more sustainable than conventional cotton to produce because it takes less water, uses less energy, releases less CO2 and doesn't use any chemicals. It's also more durable than conventional cotton because it's built with more care and attention, making the fabric itself stronger. 

Sewn with RPET 100% Recycled Polyester thread.

Care Instructions

Hand wash in cold water and hang dry. Iron low.
